How to
Preach to
Muslims: The Five Pillars of Islam
A simple principle
[Matthew
7:6]
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls
before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again
and rend you.
[1
Corinthians 9:19-21] For though I be free from all [men], yet have
I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; …
To them that are without law, as without law, that I might gain them
that are without law…
What does it mean?
I came to understand these two passages only a few monthes ago and I
hope
that I understood them correctly:
If I meet Atheist, I use one passage from the Bible, or one approach,
if I meet Catholic – another, if I meet Muslim – different from
previous and I use them in the way that unbelievers will not be mocking
the Word of God and tell me that I am stupid or crazy or that my faith
lacks
common sense. Based on my knowledge of different religions I will use
only arguments from the Bible, which will put people in an
uncomfortable situation and will give me the opportunity to effectively
share the Good News to them without drawing negative remarks toward the
Word of God.
It means for example, that I will not tell Muslims John 3:16:
[John 3:16]
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Even though it is the Holy and precious Truth for us, Muslims
will draw four blasphemous conclusions from it:
1. Allah does not
love the entire world, he loves only Muslims.
2. Allah does not
have a son.
3. Jesus never died
on the Cross.
4. People could go
to Paradise without Jesus dying for them, because there is no concept
of Original Sin in Islam and there is no need of a Blood sacrifice,
because the story of Adam and Eve in the Qur’an is very different from
the Biblical version.
And Muslims will not listen to you any longer, being absolutely sure
that you are in deep, deep error and on the way to Hell and they even
will try to save you from your wrong beliefs by preaching Islam to you.
This passage will be as a holy grail or gold before the dog or swine.
They do not see a value in it at all. Wherefore, I refuse to talk with
Muslims about any other doctrine other than the Bible before I prove to
him that the Torah (not even the entire Bible) is the Word of God.
This is my win-or-die stand. As soon as I will prove that the Torah is
the Word of God and it is my hands now, I will be very effectively
sharing the Gospel to any Muslim and eventually will destroy Islam in
front of them. Let us look closely at the five pillars.
FIVE PILLARS OF ISLAM
First of all, I would like to tell you about the five pillars of Islam.
What
are they? (Click for the green image below)
The function of a pillar is to support the roof and structure
itself. But God need not be supported by man, so these are actually the
five duties of a Muslim, not pillars!
As a matter of fact it is required to keep only two in order to
call yourself a Muslim, simply that you maybe a too poor to give alms,
or too sick to fast or both and therefore unable to travel to Mecca.
So, are they real pillars of Islam? I think not, they are five duties
and three of them are easily broken without any consequences to Islam
and they are being broken by many
Muslims on Earth even as we speak. They are not vital to sustain Islam
at all.
Let me show to you what the real five
pillars or support columns of
Islam really are; without them Islam will collapse as a religion:
1. Today’s Bible is
corrupted.
2. The Qur’an is
from the same God who gave the Torah.
3. Abraham built
Ka'ba in Mecca and Muslims are worshipping to God of
Abraham correctly by prostrating towards the Ka’ba. Islam is
continuation of the faith of Abraham.
4. Muhammad and
Meccans Arabs are physical descendants of Ishmael and
Abraham and therefore under the blessing of God.
5. Muhammad
received the message of Allah from the Angel Gabriel the same way Moses
received it.
Entire Islam as a religion is resting upon these 5 pillars. If anyone
one of them would fall Islam will be proven wrong. As a
matter of fact, as we will see later they all fall in a “domino effect”.
#1
Let us deal with it: the
Torah
Today's Torah is
Readable
Muslims always say “Your Bible is not reliable, it does contain the
Word of God, but people corrupted most part of it.”
This is the most important doctrine of Islam and that is why I am
willing to
spend as much time as I need debating it before I will move to the next
point. This is my win-or-die battleground, the result of it will
determine the final outcome of my evangelism.
According to early Qur'anic commentator Muqatil bin Sulaiman:
The
leaders of the Jews in Medina erased
the descriptions and
traits of Muhammad peace be upon him from the Torah, and they
wrote
other traits and descriptions.
There is a question to Muslims, who absolutely sure what the Torah was
corrupted at some point, which is important to answer.
When was the Torah corrupted? It could only be at one of the following
times:
1. Before Jesus
2. Between Jesus
and Muhammad
3. After Muhammad
Here is one position of Muslim scholar Bassam
Zawadi regarding the Torah:
Thus,
it is not a surprise for a Muslim to find that the
predictions of Muhammad (peace be upon him) are vague and some how
isolated from the context of the entire Bible. The reason for this is
because there is also falsehood in the
Bible, which would distort the
truth.
Thus, the Muslim is not required in any way to prove that Muhammad is
clearly predicted in the Bible by taking all the verses in the Bible
into consideration. This is simply the
Muslim position regardless of
one likes it or not.
Islam-Sikhism.info also got
into the mix:
In
addition, we can also confirm that there exists evidence in the
historical tradition of Islam to suggest that the Torah in the hands of
the Jewish community in Arabia during the
time of Muhammad (peace and
blessings of Allah be upon him) must have gone through some textual
corruption given that it differs to the Torah we have today.
Zawadi observes that "it is also possible
that parts of the true Torah
and Injeel [Gospel] existed until the 7th century [during
Muhammad's time] and are not found in the Bible today".
He supports this claim by citing five authentic Islamic traditions that
point to references and injunctions apparently present in what the Jews
in that area and epoch referred to as the Torah, but which "we don't
find ... today with us in the Bible", and "[t]herefore ... must have
been removed, thus indicating textual corruption".
The Torah is found in
Hebrew Scrolls in each and every Synagogue around
the Globe, and in translation in every Christian Bible. Is there any
proof that the Torah was ever changed?
1.
The Qur’an and Muhammad CONFIRM the Divine origin of the Torah
Based on the Qur’an and the Hadith, one can easily see that the Hebrew
Scriptures, that is, the Torah during the time of Mohammed, was
trustworthy as well.
The Qur’an has thirty-nine
references to the Old Testament and the Hadiths (Sahih
Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Abu Dawud and Malik’s Muwatta) have thirty-five references.
Here are some ayats from the Qur’an:
[ Qur’an, Sura 3:3] He hath revealed unto thee
(Muhammad) the Scripture with truth,
confirming that which was (revealed) before it, even as He revealed the
Torah and the Gospel.
[ Qur’an, Sura 3:48] And He (Allah) will teach him
(Jesus) the Scripture and wisdom, and the
Torah and the Gospel,
[ Qur’an, Sura 3:50] And
(I come) confirming that
which was before me of the Torah and to
make lawful some of that which was forbidden unto you. I come unto you
with a sign from your Lord, so keep your duty to Allah and obey me.
So, according to the Qur’an, Jesus came and taught the original
teachings of the Torah.
[ Qur’an, Sura 3:93] All food was lawful to the
children of Israel except that which Israel
had forbidden to himself, before the Taurat was revealed. Say: Bring
then the Taurat and read [present tense] it, if
you are truthful.
Here is an interesting challenge to Jews in the days of Muhammad –
bring the Torah if you are truthful and read it! By why read a
corrupted book?
[ Qur'an,
Sura 10:94] And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that
which We reveal unto thee, then question
those
who read [ present tense]
the Scripture (that was) before
thee. Verily
the Truth from thy Lord hath come unto thee. So be not thou of the
waverers.
[ Qur'an, Sura 29:46]
And argue not with the People of the Scripture unless it be in (a way)
that is better, save with such of them as do wrong; and say: We believe
in that which hath been revealed unto us and
revealed unto you; our Allah and your Allah is One, and unto Him
we
surrender.
If the Torah was already lost in the days of Muhammad, it would have
been absolutely impossible to say that Muslims
believe in what hath
been revealed unto Jews and Christians. This means that the
Torah's
revelation was still uncorrupted and Jews and Christians had them at
least in 600 AD.
But Muhammad constantly accused the Jews of misinterpreting the Torah
and he used the Torah itself to prove his point!
The Hadith of Al Bukhari, volume 8, book 82, number 809:
Narrated Ibn ‘Umar:
A Jew and a Jewess were brought to Allah’s Apostle on a charge of
committing an illegal sexual intercourse. The Prophet asked them. “What
is the legal punishment (for this sin) in
your Book (Torah)?” They
replied, “Our priests have innovated the punishment of blackening the
faces with charcoal and Tajbiya.” ‘Abdullah bin Salam said, “O Allah’s
Apostle, tell them to bring the Torah.”
Torah was brought, and then one of the Jews put his hand over the Divine Verse of the Rajam
(stoning to death) and started reading what
preceded and what followed it. On that, Ibn Salam said to the Jew,
“Lift up your hand.”
Behold! The Divine Verse of the Rajam
was under his hand. So Allah’s
Apostle ordered that the two (sinners) be stoned to death, and so they
were stoned. Ibn ‘Umar added: So both of them were stoned at the Balat
and I saw the Jew sheltering the Jewess.
Sunan Abu Dawud, book 38, number 4435:
Narrated Abu Hurayrah:
A man and a woman of the Jews committed fornication. Some of them said
to the others: Let us go to this Prophet, for he has been sent with an easy law. The Prophet
said: So I decide in accordance with what the
Torah says. He then commanded regarding them and they were
stoned to
death.
We can see clearly that Mohammed called the Torah to
witness against
the Jews and their practice. Clearly, the True Torah was present and
available in his time. Here is yet another example of the
existence of
the uncorrupted Torah during Mohammad’s day.
Sunan Abu Dawud, book 38, number 4434:
Narrated Abdullah Ibn Umar:
A group of Jews came and invited the Apostle of Allah to Quff. So he
visited them in their school. They said: AbulQasim, one of our men has
committed fornication with a woman; so pronounce judgment upon them.
They placed a cushion for the Apostle of Allah who sat on it and said: Bring the Torah. It was
then brought. He then withdrew the cushion from
beneath him and placed the Torah on it
saying:
I believed in
thee and I Him Who revealed thee.
These Hadith quotations
reveal to us that Mohammed never
condemned the
written Torah; he condemned only the wrong
interpretation of the Torah
by the Jews.
2.
Archaeological discoveries of the last century confirm that the Torah
has never been changed
If Muslims still insist that the Torah was changed before or
after the time of Jesus or Muhammad, they must bring proof of some kind
to support their claim. They have to bring another Torah to compare
with the Torah we have in our Bibles today.
Muslims have not even
a single shred of proof that another Torah ever existed!
We do have proof that the Torah has never been changed for last 2260
years!
Let me mention a few very important facts concerning the Dead
Sea Scrolls.
Common
Era (CE), the Scrolls include some 207 biblical manuscripts
representing nearly all of the books in the Hebrew Bible (Christian Old
Testament) except the book of Ester. Approximately 900 Scrolls were
discovered. The Scrolls are important to Judaism, Christianity and
Islam because they contain the earliest accounts of the Biblical eight
patriarchs and
prophets who are known to all three of the Abrahamic faiths.
Some of the biblical Dead Sea Scrolls are almost 1000 years older than
the next-oldest-known copies of the Hebrew Bible.
The copies of Genesis among the Dead
Sea Scrolls are extremely similar to the traditional Hebrew text.
Unless someone has any physical evidence that the Torah was changed at
any given point in time, Muslims have no authority to state otherwise.
And at this point Muslims must agree that the Torah during the days of
Mohammad, in the days of Jesus and days before Him is the same as what
we have now.
Only after they agree with my arguments, the words of Allah and words
of Muhammad that the Torah was never corrupted and we have it in our
Bibles today unchanged and reliable, will I move to the second point. I
unleash attack on the Qur’an.
#2
Qur'an-Bible Comparison
Let us read a few passages from the Qur’an and the Bible: usually I
pick this passage, but there are many like that you can pick
and choose for the purpose to uncover the true face of the Qur’an. Pay
careful attention to the red words in both passages.
The Qur’an:
[ Sura
12 Yusuf 16-18] And they came to
their father at nightfall, weeping.
They said:
O our father! surely we went off racing and left Yusuf by our goods, so
the wolf devoured him, and you will not believe us though we are
truthful.
And they brought his shirt with false blood upon it. He
said: Nay, your souls have made the matter light for you, but
patience
is good and Allah is He whose help is sought for against what you
describe.
According to the Qur’an, Joseph’s brothers came weeping to their
father. They told him that
Joseph was killed by a wolf, but their father
did not believe
their report.
Summary:
→ The Brothers told their father that Joseph was dead.
→ His father accused the
brothers of lying.
→ The brothers were
crying about Joseph’s demise, not their father.
The Bible:
[ Genesis, Chapter 37:31-34] And they took Joseph’s
coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and
dipped the coat in the blood;
And they sent the coat of many
colors, and they brought it to their
father; and said this have we
found: know now whether it be thy
son’s coat or no.
And he knew it,
and said it is my son’s coat; an evil beast
hath devoured him; Joseph
is without doubt rent in pieces.
And Jacob rent his clothes, and
put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned
for his son many days.
According to the Bible, it was their father, Jacob, who was weeping
(mourned for his son many days)
and he concluded on his own
accord that
Joseph must have been killed by a beast, but the brothers pretended
that they had no idea what
happened. They never brought any bad news to
Jacob. And they did not weep.
Summary:
→ The brothers did not tell their father that Joseph
was killed.
→ Jacob concluded on his
own accord that Joseph was dead.
→ Joseph’s father
cried over Josephs death.
→ The brothers did not
cry and were unsuccessfully trying to comfort him.
But the story doesn't end here. Qur’anical and Biblical stories have
their own logical conclusion, based on the text above. As different as
in the beginning of the story. Pay careful attention to the red words
in both passages.
The Qur’an:
[ Sura
12 Yusuf 93-98]
Take this my shirt and cast it on my father’s face, he will (again)
be able to see, and come to me with all your families.
And when the
caravan had departed, their father said: Most surely I perceive the
greatness of Yusuf, unless you pronounce me to be weak in
judgment.
They said: By Allah, you are most surely in your old error.
So when
the bearer of good news came he cast it on his face, so forthwith he
regained his sight. He said: Did I not say
to you that I know from
Allah what you do not know?
They said: O our father! ask
forgiveness of our faults for us, surely we were sinners.
He said:
I will ask for you forgiveness from my Lord; surely He is the
Forgiving, the Merciful.
→
In the Qur’an their father said that Joseph was
still alive.
→ His sons or other from
the family accused him of having Alzheimer disease.
→ After learning that
Joseph was alive, his father boasted that he knew it all along.
→ His
sons admitted their sin.
The Bible:
[ Genesis, Chapter 45:25-28]
And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto
Jacob their father,
And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive,
and he
is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob’s
heart fainted, for he believed them
not.
And they told him all the words of Joseph,
which
he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph
had sent
to carry him, the spirit
of Jacob their father revived:
And Israel
said, It is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him
before I die.
→
In the Bible, Jacob, even after being told by his
sons that Joseph was
alive, did not believe them right away.
→ It took him time to
accept the
fact that Joseph was alive and well.
Again in the Qur’an the father told his sons that Joseph was alive,
they did not believe him, but in the Bible it is the other way around,
sons
told the Father that Joseph is alive but he did not believe them!
As you clearly see, the Qur’anical story is absolutely different from
the Biblical account. They are opposite.
At that point I usually have two responses from Muslims:
1. Silence.
2.
They say: “Yes, they are different, but the end of the story is the
same, correct?”
Here I say “Really? Are they REALLY THE SAME?” and point to every story
from my book of comparison between Qur’an and the Bible and say that
all the Qur’an is saying about the Bible is as wrong, as this story
of Joseph, and yet we touched only very small and insignificant part of
it.
And I conclude: The Qur’an has a big problem, as you see. It is
very different from the Torah. If the Torah is from God, is it
possible that same God changed the original stories flow in the Qur’an?
These are simple historical facts, something which happened a long time
before Moses and Muhammad. History doesn’t change, and now
we see that the Qur’an has many errors.
The question: “Is it from the
same God who gave us the Torah?”
At that point they have only one response to me: Silence. And they keep
this silence from now on till the end of my talk.
#3
Hajj and the Torah
Now let us examine is one of the duties of Muslim – Hajj. Is it
supported by
the Bible?
Did Abraham go to
Mecca?
The Qu'ran:
[ Hadith
Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 55, Number 583]
Narrated Ibn Abbas:
Abraham brought her and her son Ishmael
while she was suckling him, to
a place near the Ka’ba under a tree on the spot of Zam-zam, at
the
highest place in the mosque. She lived in that way till some people
from the tribe of Jurhum or a family from Jurhum passed by her and her
child, as they (i.e. the Jurhum people) were coming through the way of
Kada’.
The Bible:
[ Gen 21:14-16] And Abraham rose up early in the
morning, and took bread, and a bottle
of water, and gave [it] unto Hagar, putting [it] on her
shoulder, and
the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.
And the water was spent in the bottle,
and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.
And she went, and sat her down over against [him] a good way off, as it
were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child.
And she sat over against [him], and lift up her voice,
and wept.
Hagar could not have travelled so far having only one
bottle of water; the difference between these two distances is 28 days
travel. Zam-zam in Mecca had no connection with the well in
Beersheba, and to Hagar or Abraham. Here I must be careful and probably
hire bodyguards because I am undermining the entire business of selling
“holy” water from Zam-zam well in Mecca. But not only did she not
travel to Mecca, neither did Abraham!
This is a big doctrine in Islam: the attempt by Abraham to
sacrifice Ishmael on the hill of Mina close to Mecca.
[ Gen 22:2, 4] And he said, Take now thy son, thine only [son]
Isaac, whom thou
lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a
burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
Then on the third day Abraham
lifted up his eyes, and saw the place
afar off.
I am not arguing about the name of Isaac here, I am pointing to very
small
and appeared insignificant detail here: travel time.
→
Between Gerar and Mecca - 31 days of
journey.
→ Between Gerar and
Jerusalem – 3 days.
Therefore, according to the unchanged Torah,
Abraham never traveled to Mecca in order to sacrifice Ishmael, but in
the place where Jerusalem would stand one day and it was Isaac who he
attempted to sacrifice.
Let us summarize:
→
Abraham did not travel to Mecca with Hagar and Ishmael.
→ He did
not built any empty room there.
→ He never attempted to
sacrifice
Ishmael on the mount of Mina next to Mecca.
Did
Abraham go to Mecca?
Did Abraham build Ka'ba?
NO!
#4
Ishmael and Meccan Arabs
Now let us examine if Muhammad and Arab Muslims are descendants of
Abraham and therefore have connection to the prophesy of the Torah.
Was Muhammad and Arabs of Quarish tribe descendants of Ishmael?
[ Genesis 16:10-12] And the angel of the LORD said
unto her (Hagar), I will multiply thy
seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.
And he will be a wild man; his hand [will be] against every man, and
every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all
his brethren.
[ Genesis 17:20] And as for Ishmael, I have heard
thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and
will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve
princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
[ Genesis 21:12-13, 18] And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be
grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman;
in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in
Isaac shall thy seed be called.
And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he
[is] thy seed.
Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him
a great nation.
What does 'crislam'
say about this issue?
As we see, the author of this book is connecting not only Arabs, but
all
Muslims to the Abraham through Ishmael and Muhammad logic. Here are a
few more:
F.E.
Peters, The Children of Abraham
Page 8
A later generation of Jews, and then the Christians after them, thought
that the Arabs were the descendants of Ishmael-they noted the
similarities of Arab culture and practice to that of the “Hebrews”- and
“Arab”, ”Ishmaelite”, as well as “Saracen”, with fanciful etymology
that connected it with Sarah, were interchangeable terms for long
stretches of Middle Eastern and European history…
This author attach the title Children of Ishmael to Arabs only.
Don McCurry, Healing the broken family of Abraham: New
life for Muslims
Page 34
Note that both monotheism and the use of force were characteristics of
Ishmael. By spending the early years at Abraham’s side, Ishmael learned
monotheism. But after his expulsion from the family, the hostile and
warlike tendencies began to develop.
In the light of these characteristics, Muhammad
was a true descendant
of Ishmael.
This author directly connected Ishmael to Muhammad. Let us find out who
was first to say that Ishmael and Muhammad together
with Meccans and Arabs are connected by blood.
[ Hadith
Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 55, Number 607]
Allah's Apostle said, "On the night of my Ascension to Heaven, I saw
(the prophet) Moses who was a thin person with lank hair, looking like
one of the men of the tribe of Shanua; and I saw Jesus who was of
average height with red face as if he had just come out of a bathroom. And I resemble prophet Abraham
more than any of
his offspring does.
Let’s read the Hadith describing how this
theory
starts:
Ishmael's mother went on suckling Ishmael and drinking from
the water (she had). When the water in the water-skin had all been used
up, she became thirsty and her child also became thirsty. She started
looking at him (i.e. Ishmael) tossing in agony; She left him, for
she could not endure looking at him, and
found that the mountain of
Safa was the nearest mountain to her on that land. She stood on
it and
started looking at the valley keenly so that she might see somebody,
but she could not see anybody. Then she descended from Safa and when
she reached the valley, she tucked up her robe and ran in the valley
like a person in distress and trouble, till she
crossed the valley and
reached the Marwa mountain where she stood and started looking,
expecting to see somebody, but she could not see anybody. She repeated
that (running between Safa
and Marwa) seven times." The Prophet
said,
"This is the source of the
tradition of the walking of people between
them (i.e. Safa and Marwa)”.

[Hadith
Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 55, Number 583]
When she reached the Marwa (for the last time) she heard a voice and
she asked herself to be quiet and listened attentively. She heard the
voice again and said, 'O, (whoever you may be)! You have made me hear
your voice; have you got something to help me?" And behold! She saw an
angel at the place of Zam-zam, digging the earth with his heel
(or his
wing), till water flowed from that place. She started to make something
like a basin around it, using her hand in this way, and started filling
her water-skin with water with her hands, and the water was flowing out
after she had scooped some of it."
It's
a big business going on here based on false
presumption!
[ Hadith
Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 55, Number 583]
Narrated Ibn Abbas:
Abraham brought her and her son Ishmael while she was suckling him, to
a place near the Ka’ba under a tree on the spot of Zam-zam, at the
highest place in the mosque.
She lived in that way till some people from the tribe of Jurhum or a
family from Jurhum passed by her and her child, as they (i.e. the
Jurhum people) were coming through the way of Kada’. The child (i.e.
Ishmael) grew up and learnt Arabic from them and (his virtues)
caused
them to love and admire him as he grew up, and when he reached the age
of puberty they made him marry a woman from
amongst them.
[ Genesis 21:20-21] And God was with the lad; and he
grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and
became an archer.
And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife
out of the land of Egypt.
0% Arabs!
But let us continue further and look into the location of
Ishmael’s dwelling.
[Genesis 25:17-18] And these [are] the years of the
life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty
and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered
unto his people. And they dwelt from Havilah
unto Shur, that [is]
before Egypt, as thou goes toward
Assyria: [and] he died in the
presence of all his brethren.
[1 Samuel 15:7] And Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah [until] thou comest to Shur,
that [is] over against Egypt.
Let us go to the
story of Joseph
[ Genesis 37:14] And he said to him, Go, I pray
thee, see whether it be well with thy
brethren, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. So he sent
him out of the vale of Hebron, and he
came to Shechem.
[ Genesis 37:17] And the man said, They are departed
hence; for I heard them say, Let us
go to Dothan. And Joseph went after
his brethren, and found them in
Dothan.
[ Genesis 37:24-28] And they took him, and cast him
into a pit: and the pit [was] empty,
[there was] no water in it.
And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes an
looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites
came from Gilead with
their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry [it] down to Egypt.
And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit [is it] if we
slay our brother, and conceal his blood?
Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites,
and let
not our hand be upon him; for he [is] our brother [and] our flesh. And
his brethren were content.
Then there passed by Midianites
merchantmen; and they
drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty
[pieces] of silver: and they brought Joseph into
Egypt.
[ Genesis 37:36] And the Midianites
sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an
officer of Pharaoh's, [and] captain of the guard.
Muslims claim that Muhammad was descendant of Ishmael through son Kedar.
Kedar
The Qedarites (Kingdom of Qedar) were a largely nomadic,
ancient Arab tribal confederation. Described as "the most
organized of the Northern Arabian tribes" (Stearns and Langer, 2001, p. 41.), at the
peak of its
power in the 6th century BC it controlled a large region between
the Persian Gulf and the Sinai Peninsula.
Midian
Midian is a geographical place and a people mentioned in
the Bible and in the Qur'an. It is believed to be in
northwest Arabia on the east shore of the Gulf of
Aqaba and the northern Red Sea.
Gideon and Midianites → → → →
[ Judges 8:22-24] Then the men of Israel said unto
Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou,
and thy son, and thy son's son also: for thou hast delivered us from
the hand of Midian.
And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my
son rule over you: the LORD shall rule over you.
And Gideon said unto them, I would desire a request of you, that ye
would give me every man the earrings of his prey. (For they had golden
earrings, because they [were] Ishmaelites.)

[ Genesis 37:14]
So he sent him out of the vale of Hebron,
and he came to Shechem.
[Genesis 37:17]
And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.
[ Genesis 37:25] behold, a company of Ishmeelites
came from Gilead with their camels
bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry [it] down to Egypt.
The
grandsons of Ishmael lived East of Canaan, between Egypt and
Assyria.
[ Genesis 21:21] And he ( Ishmael) dwelt in the
wilderness of Paran: and his mother took
him a wife out of the land of Egypt.
[ Genesis 25:18] And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur,
that [is] before Egypt, as thou
goes toward Assyria: [and] he ( Ishmael) died in the presence of
all his
brethren. →
According to Muhammad, Ishmael was raised by Arabs and married Arab
woman. He died in Mecca and his grandsons were Arabs, living in the
Mecca
area.
[ Hadith
Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 55, Number 583]
Narrated Ibn Abbas:
The child (i.e. Ishmael) grew up and learnt
Arabic from them (tribe of
Jurhum) and (his virtues) caused them to love and admire him as
he grew
up, and when he reached the age of puberty they
made him marry a woman
from amongst them.
←
Let us look at the map showing the distance between Mecca and Dothan
approximately
1550 km.
If the Ishmaelites were living in Mecca, it was non logical for them to
go
up north from nearest border with Egypt, which is a Gulf of Aqaba, up
north all way to Dothan, purchased Joseph and then turn 180 degrees and
come back down to Egypt.
As we see, The Torah in complete disagreement with the story, which was
told by Muhammad a few thousands years later.
But the Torah was never changed and stories on its pages are intact,
therefore, Muhammad lied about his genealogy in connection with Ishmael
and eventually with Abraham in order to establish his false prophethood.
And let his people to believe that Islam is Divine plan of God of the
Bible.
Let us read from another book:
Journeys in Holy Lands: The Evolution of the
Abraham-Ishmael Legends in
Islamic Exegesis; By Reuven Firestone, Rabbi, Ph.D
Page 37
…The evidence for this (Abu Hurayra’s attribution of “People of the
Water of Heaven” to Hagar dates that motif as Islamic ) can be found in
Arabic genealogies, which appear to connect the Northern Arabs and the
tribe of Muhammad to Hagar and Ishmael only in late – that is, Islamic-
texts. Pre-Islamic pagan Arab genealogies appear to have no awareness
or concern for the connection, which probably evolved only after the
Qur’an made such a strong case for Abraham being the first Muslim….
Page 79
“The Islamic rendition, however, have no direct association
with the Genesis verse ( Gen. 21:21). On the contrary, their purpose
appears to be the establishment of Ishmael and his progeny among the
Arab people-a very different goal. If Ishmael had taken a wife from
Egypt in the Islamic version of the legend as in the biblical story and
its Biblicist exegesis, Ishmael’s arabization would not being
accomplished. Moreover, the story would hardly have held any relevance
in an Arabian context. … It appears that there was little alternative
to establishing Ishmael’s Arab identity. Its importance was greatly
enhanced by the fact that he married into one of the legendary
pre-Islamic Arab tribes associated with the holy city of Mecca.”
The Bible and other pre Islamic pagan
genealogies are in agreement
concerning the fact that Muhammad fabricated a connection between
Abraham and himself through Ishmael, whom Muhammad placed living in
Mecca, contrary what Torah and other Arabic sources are telling us.
Wherefore, let us correctly answer to the question:
Was Muhammad and Arabs of Quraish tribe
descendants of Ishmael?
NO!
Now let us move to the final point – the beginning of Islam
#5
Muhammad and a Spirit
Now let us examine if Muhammad was called by biblical God to be a
prophet.
Muhammad Got It Right! The Origin of Qur'anical "revelation": Muhammad
and an “angel.”
Hadith of Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 1, Number 3:
Narrated 'Aisha:
The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah's Apostle was in
the form of good dreams which came true like bright day light, and then
the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him. He used to go in seclusion
in the cave of Hira where he used to worship (Allah alone) continuously
for many days before his desire to see his family.
He used to go in seclusion in the cave of Hira where he used to worship
(Allah alone) continuously for many days before his desire to see his
family. He used to take with him the journey food for the stay and then
come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food like-wise again till
suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira.
The angel came to him and asked
him to read. The Prophet replied, "I do not know how to read."
The Prophet added, " The angel caught me
(forcefully) and pressed me so
hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and
again
asked me to read and I replied, 'I do not know how to read.' Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time
till I could not bear
it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read but
again I
replied, 'I do not know how to read (or what shall I read)?' Thereupon
he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then
released me
and said, 'Read in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that
exists) has created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most
Generous."
Then Allah's Apostle returned with the
Inspiration and with his heart beating severely. Then he went to
Khadija bint Khuwailid and said, "Cover me! Cover me!" They covered him
till his fear was over and after that he told her everything that had
happened and said, " I fear that something may
happen to me."[*]
[*This expression is translated: I
was visited by a demon.]
Then Allah's Apostle returned
with
the Inspiration and with his heart beating severely. Then he
went to
Khadija bint Khuwailid and said, "Cover me! Cover me!" They covered him
till his fear was over and after that he told her everything
that had
happened and said, "I fear that something may happen to me." Khadija
replied, "Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good
relations with your Kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute,
serve your guests generously and assist the deserving
calamity-afflicted ones."
Khadija then accompanied him to
her cousin Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin 'Abdul 'Uzza, who, during the
PreIslamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with
Hebrew letters. He would write from the
Gospel in Hebrew as much as
Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight.
Khadija said to Waraqa, " Listen to the story
of your nephew, O my
cousin!" Waraqa asked, "O my nephew! What have you seen?"
Allah's
Apostle described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, "This is the same
one who keeps the secrets (angel Gabriel) whom Allah had sent to Moses.
I wish I were young and could live
up to the time when your people would turn you out." Allah's Apostle
asked, "Will they drive me out?" Waraqa replied in the affirmative and
said, "Anyone (man) who came with something similar to what you have
brought was treated with hostility; and if I should remain alive till
the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly."
But after a few days Waraqa died and the
Divine Inspiration was also
paused for a while.
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah Al-Ansari while talking about the
period of pause in revelation reporting the speech of the Prophet
"While I was walking, all of a sudden I heard a voice from the sky. I
looked up and saw the same angel who had visited me at the cave of
Hira' sitting on a chair between the sky and the earth. I got afraid of
him and came back home and said, 'Wrap me (in blankets).' And then
Allah revealed the following Holy Verses (of Quran):
'O you (i.e. Muhammad)! wrapped up in garments!' Arise and warn (the
people against Allah's Punishment),... up to 'and desert the idols.'
(74.1-5) After this the revelation started
coming strongly, frequently
and regularly.”
I would like to point what Waraqa said to Muhammad. In my opinion
it is the most important passage in the entire story. Waraqa said, "This is the same one
who keeps the secrets (angel
Gabriel) whom Allah had sent to Moses."
Account of the Hadith:
→
Muhammad had a supernatural experience.
→ He was afraid that
unholy spirit visited him.
→ His wife rejects this
simply arguing that Muhammad is too good to be
influenced by a demon.
→ Waraqa told Muhammad
with certainty that it is was the Angel Gabriel.
→
Muhammad believed his wife and Waraqa. And Islam was born!
OK, let us read the story of Moses and the Burning Bush.
God and Moses
[Exd 3:4-6] And the
angel of the LORD appeared unto him in
a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and,
behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush [was] not consumed.
And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and
see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
And when the LORD saw
that he turned aside to see, God
called unto him out of the midst of
the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here [am] I.
And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from
off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest [is] holy ground.
Moreover he said, I [am] the God of thy
father, the God of
Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid
his
face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
[Exd 3:10] Come now
therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh,
that thou mayest bring
forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
[Exd 3:14-16] And God said
unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he
said, Thus shalt thou say unto the
children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
And God said
moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say
unto the children of Israel,
The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and
the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this [is] my name for
ever,
and this [is] my memorial unto all generations.
Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say
unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac,
and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited
you, and
[seen] that which is done to you in Egypt:
[Exd 4:28-31] And Moses
told Aaron
all the words of the LORD who had sent him, and all the signs
which he
had commanded him.
And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the
elders of the children of Israel:
And Aaron spake all the words
which the LORD had spoken
unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.
And the people believed:
and when they heard that the
LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon
their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.
Account of the Moses’ experience with God:
→
An angel appear as the fire in
the bush.
→ Moses turns to see the strange fire.
→ Then
God introduced Himself to Moses and several times mentioned His Name;
it was not the angel speaking to him.
→
Moses came home being certain that he had met God of his fathers.
→
Moses convinced Aaron.
→
Aaron convinced the people of Israel.
→
The people believed Aaron and Moses. And God delivered His people form
slavery and gave them 10 Commandments.
Comparison
Muhammad meeting a spirit:
Spirit visited Muhammad → Muhammad was sure it was a demon →
Khadija was trying to convince Muhammad it was Allah → Waraqa finally convinced
Muhammad → Muhammad had 'revelations' from then on
Moses meeting God:
An angel appeared as fire
in a bush → God called Moses and
explained his mission → Moses
believed God → Moses met with Aaron and convinced him → Aaron convinced leaders of
Israel
Waraqa
listened to Muhammad’s story and somehow connected it with story
of Moses. But as we see from the Scripture, it cannot be the same God,
nor could it have been Gabriel. We can confidently say that Waraqa was
wrong in
his conclusion, he probably did not know the story of Moses well enough
to see difference!
→ → → → → It is Waraqa who
should be correctly named the founder of Islam ← ← ← ← ←
Did Mohammad meet the same angel of the
Lord who appeared to Moses?
NO!
Islam seems to us now as a Goliath,
who is huge and mighty and well
protected by his armor, and as the army of Israel was afraid to
confront him, so we now afraid to confront Islam, we try to be
politically correct towards Muslims.
We invented many non-aggressive
methods of evangelism, we silently agree when Muslims are claiming that
we all worship the same God, we call them children of Ishmael, we never
expose the true face of Muhammad, the true origin of the Qur’an and the
true name and origin of Allah. We are afraid.
And Islam-Goliath knows it, openly mocking biblical God and
challenging us daily in the numerous debates, accusing us in idolatry,
apostasy, politheism and other sins. And huge Muslims army stand well
protected behind this giant, this religion and increasing daily in
numbers and in boldness, thinking that they have the Truth.
If we want
to save them from hell, we MUST
defeat this Goliath before their eyes,
let them flee in panic and horror after seeing their Islam collapses
and let us save many of them by
preaching the Gospel and gain the
victory over Muslims as Israel of old against Philistines after David
slew Goliath.
Let us use the perfect weapon God
gave us against this
diabolical religion what is keeping 1.5 billion people captives.
Let us
use the Word of God in full strength.
David refused to wear all Saul's armor and refused to fight Goliath,
but simply picked a seemingly less effective weapon – 5 stones we
should called them pebbles. More than enough to defeat an enemy of God!
David did not fight Goliath, he simply killed him in a split of a
second, without wasting time.
He used only one pebble out of 5.
What number 5 do you think
of in relation to the Bible?
How many pillars must we knock down?
Isn't it interesting that the fate of
the entire Islamic Religion rests not
so much upon the reliability of the Qur’an but upon the reliability of
the Torah, and not even upon entire Torah, but upon only 1/5 of
the book of Genesis.
And we simply can use only one book of the Bible, Genesis, in
order to defeat Islam, by hitting it in an only unprotected spot and
save many Muslims who are now hiding behind this violent and ungodly
giant. Do not forget, we are not fighting at all, it is not our battle.
The Battle
belongs to the Lord! All we need is to just let the Word of
God – The mighty Lion, Jesus Christ, come out from the cage where we
keep Him
in and
allow him to devour His enemies.
Thank you for your patience.
In the Name and the Word Jesus Christ, Amen.
